The Sugarbowl has been providing a unique atmosphere and delicious food to the Garneau and University communities and Edmonton as whole since 1943. In this time it has taken many different shapes, from a burger joint in the 40s and 50s to a coffee house through the 60s and 70s, finally evolving into the full-service bistro and neighborhood pub that you know today.

Kaffa Coffee Company
Nestled in the heart of the Garneau Community, Kaffa Roaster and Studio is a boutique coffee roaster and coffee house. Aside from serving as a daytime coffee house, Kaffa welcomes our City's musicians, artists, artisans, and more, where the spirit of a true community speakeasy comes to play. The name Kaffa - both a derivative and a region of coffee's birthplace in Ethiopia - is a coffee roaster situated in the heart of Garneau that has begun its own journey in providing delicious coffee for the broader community. Situated in the heart of Garneau, Kaffa holds a unique view of Garneau, the North Saskatchewan River Valley, and downtown, not commonly beheld by Edmontonians', inviting the public indoors.
